(60-90 minutes)

During our in-home dog training service, Berney assesses your daily routines, develops a plan to solve existing problems, and helps you put the training techniques you practice into action. Ideal for new dog owners learning how to train a puppy or dog for the first time, and for pet parents who want to teach an older dog new behaviors.

(Contact us to schedule)

Send your pup for a weekend dog boarding and training session. Berney will spend time teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors and ensure your canine companion gets the exercise, attention and supervision they need. A perfect way to keep your puppy on track while you take a weekend getaway, and also great for dogs who need extra attention and behavior modification.

(3-5 days a week)

We take our canine students out for a fun-filled dog boot camp in Los Angeles—doggie parents not required! 3-5 days a week, Berney trains the TMDB squad in public areas such as hiking trails, Barrington Dog Park, and the neighborhood streets of West Hollywood and Studio City. He works with each dog on accomplishing goals and maintaining good behavior, so that they can practice the skills learned at home in distracting outdoor environments. Plus, pick-up/drop-off service is included!

Berney has truly been the best thing to ever happen to [our dog] Sunny! Not only has he helped us during the “puppy” phase with behavioral issues, but he is also extremely helpful at giving advice and [has been] there for every little question we have had along the way. He truly cares about all of his clients. We are so fortunate to have found someone like Berney that we totally trust with our Sunny!

How should I prepare my dog for training?

Please remember to not feed your dog prior to training, because a hungry dog is a working dog. Depending on your dog’s needs, we may also ask that you purchase additional dog training tools such as a Martingale collar or a slip lead. Tools needed will vary by dog—we’ll send you a list of “school supplies” before your first day.

How does the boot camp pick-up/drop-off service work?

The TMDB school bus picks up between 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. TMDB staff will text you upon arrival and wait 10 minutes for your doggie pupil before moving on to the next pick-up.

What if it rains on a training session or boot camp day?

The safety and comfort of our canine and human clients is our top priority, so training sessions may be canceled and/or end early in cases of inclement weather.

What is your cancelation policy?

Cancelation or rescheduling of any training or boot camp session must be done 24 hours in advance. Cancelations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a one-session fee.

What if my dog is sick?

If your dog is feeling sick, throwing up, experiencing diarrhea etc. please keep them home and take them to the vet as needed. There is no fee for canceling in the event of pet illness.

Are you certified and bonded?

Yes. Berney is ABCDT (Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer) certified, and we are bonded by Equisure, Inc.

How long does it take to get results?

Every dog is different, so we can’t guarantee that your dog will learn (or unlearn) a behavior in a specific time frame. We can guarantee that every dog requires consistency, and the more consistently you practice the dog training techniques you learn, the more quickly you will see results.
